How you can help
Identify interests
Notice what he does when no one asks him to. That is usually where the talent is hiding.
Encourage development
Protect practice time the way you protect study time. Consistency beats intensity.
Support competitions
Help with registration, transport and preparation — and let him own the work itself.
Attend showcases
A parent in the audience changes how a boy performs, and how he remembers it.
Celebrate achievement
Recognise effort and improvement, not only trophies. Most talent grows slowly at first.
